Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ScanToExcel — whether through our website or any related service — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms apply equally to all users: anonymous visitors, free account holders, and Premium subscribers.
Service Description
ScanToExcel is an AI-powered document converter operated within the European Union. You upload a document or image, select a document type and output format, and our AI extracts the structured data.
- ✓Converts receipts, bank statements, invoices, credit card statements, paystubs, and table images into structured data
- ✓Accepts JPG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, WebP, and PDF input — including multi-page PDFs
- ✓Exports to Excel (.xlsx), CSV, PDF, Word (.docx), JSON, or XML
- ✓Processes documents in memory with zero data retention
- ✓Supports documents in virtually any language and automatically detects 23+ currencies

Subscriptions & Payments
ScanToExcel offers free and paid tiers.
Paid tiers are billed monthly through Stripe. We never see or store your payment details — all billing is handled entirely by Stripe.
- 1.Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle until cancelled.
- 2.Cancel anytime from your account dashboard or Stripe's billing portal. You retain paid features until the end of your current billing period.
- 3.After your billing period ends, your account reverts to the free tier.
- 4.Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge.

Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- ✕Abuse, overload, or intentionally degrade our servers or infrastructure
- ✕Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
- ✕Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the service or its underlying technology
- ✕Upload malicious files, scripts, or content designed to compromise the service
- ✕Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to circumvent rate limits or usage tiers
- ✕Share, resell, or redistribute access to a Premium subscription
- ✕Upload content that infringes on the rights, privacy, or intellectual property of others
Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of everything you upload and everything we generate from it. Your documents, your extracted data, your output files — they are yours. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over your content.
The ScanToExcel name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property and may not be copied, modified, or redistributed without written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
ScanToExcel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim any warranties of:

- —Uninterrupted or error-free service availability
- —100% accuracy in AI-powered data extraction
- —Compatibility with every document format, layout, or language
We build this service to be as accurate and reliable as possible — but AI extraction is inherently probabilistic. Always verify converted data before relying on it for financial reporting, legal filings, or other critical applications.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScanToExcel and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service.
This includes, without limitation, damages related to data loss, business interruption, inaccurate conversions, missed deadlines, or reliance on AI-generated output. You use the service at your own risk and are responsible for verifying all output.
Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time — including changes to features, pricing, usage limits, AI models, or supported formats.
For changes that materially affect paid subscribers, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Free-tier changes may take effect immediately.
Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to ScanToExcel if you:

- ✕Abuse the service, its infrastructure, or other users
- ✕Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- ✕Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or usage restrictions
If your account is terminated for a violation of these terms, you are not entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our service, practices, or applicable law. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.
For significant changes that affect your rights or our obligations, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of ScanToExcel after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
